Portland Trail Blazers 80's Night AR Filters and Motion Graphics

The 2019-2020 season of the Portland Trail Blazers was the 50th season of the NBA franchise. To celebrate, there were 5 games designated to celebrate each decade of its existence. I was tasked with creating AR filters and pumpers (to pump up the arena crowd). I was given creative freedom to research, concept, and execute. This set of graphics was created for 80's night.

The 2019-2020 season of the Portland Trail Blazers was the 50th season of the NBA franchise. To celebrate, there were 5 games designated to celebrate each decade of its existence. I was tasked with creating AR filters and pumpers (to pump up the arena crowd). I was given creative freedom to research, concept, and execute. These were some of the graphics created for 90's night. AR filters were created using Spark AR, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Illustrator.
I created this hat as an homage to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
In 1992, some of the players cut a record. One of those songs was called Bust-a-Bucket, and remains in the hearts of fans all these years later. Do look it up. It's ridiculous. I created and animated this AR filter to have the text spin above the head and music notes float out of the microphone which tracked to the person's (I really want to say victim here) chin. The idea was to get them to sign along if they knew the words.
Amid all the fashion glory of the 90's, the bucket hat held its own. A nod (pun totally intended) was in order.
